Purim and Fantasy

For the past two videos, I highlighted themes in the Book of Esther.

In this week's video I focus more on the global and idealistic appeal of the Book:

Why does the Book of Esther remain so popular, when other books of the TANACH (Jewish Bible) are relatively obscure?

What about the Book appeals to every generation of Jews, regardless of era, location, or circumstance?

In light of October 7 and beyond, how can we draw inspiration from the Esther story?

At least in part, I hope the attached video will provide some answers.

Purim remains a multi-generational Jewish celebration. I invite you to view this video, but also to join us Saturday night for our annual Purim celebration!

Shabbat Shalom,

Am Yisrael Chai,

Rabbi Klayman
