A New Take on a Purim Irony

Our Purim story is filled with irony.

The Prime Minister, who plotted to kill the Jews, falls victim to his own scheme.

...And the Persian Jews, who were doomed to destruction,

play a little switcheroo on the Persian Empire.

Do these ironies have significance for us today, as we face so much anti-Jewish hostility?

Is there any wisdom we can gain from the Jews of Persia, in terms of addressing such contemporary hostility?
