Hello Everyone,

Over the years I have been quite candid about viewing Biblical Judaism as it was: Predominantly male. Such reflected not only ancient society in general, but modern society as well. Women still struggle for equality in work and in pay.

However, our portion this week deviates from the standard pattern and we need to acknowledge that at times, elements of equality do exist.
