A Personal Perspective on Happiness

Hello Everyone,

I know that many of us wish for our children to be happy.

However, we often speak about HAPPINESS as a feeling, rather than as an ongoing behavior. Happiness as a feeling can be temporary and fleeting. In contrast, happiness as a behavior endures even when moments of unhappiness overcome us.

The Torah portion Bhukkotai introduces a narrative, which at first glance suggests anything but happiness. However, I offer an alternative take, which not only clarifies the narrative but speaks volumes about the Israeli people of today.

Tune in for more...

Shabbat Shalom,
Am Yisrael Chai,

Rabbi Klayman
